The butcher is trying to sell his wares to make a living and survive. What are the couple selling?

It's necessary for the butcher to put his goods on display. Why on earth do the couple need to make a show of themselves?

'fraid you'll never convert me. I'm a 'stick in the mud'. Snogging in public, crude language and the teeshirts that have swearing plastered all over them are, to me, offensive

You make me laugh, Nippy. But he does need to know that beards are not "yech" to all women.

Thank you kindly ladies, for your re-assurance. At least now I can rest assured that beards are not anathema to everyone.
Chris - like most threads, this one seems to be growing, now you have extended it to "crude language and the tee-shirts which have swearing plastered all over them".
Obviously, as stated, I have no personal objection to the pastime that is the subject of this post.
As regards the language and tee-shirts, I would never use the former in mixed company nor dream of wearing the latter - both of which I too think are out of order.

Oy, that we like beards do we? I better keep the hubby locked up then
No it doesn't offend me either, the only sigh from me would be one of jealousy
I agree, although sometimes we'll have a daring hug and kiss in say the pharmacy parking area then joke that folks will notice the old people getting busy
