I like the stairlift idea Helen-wonder if its possible to have one rigged up all round the house like a giant trainset..? Imagine the high jinks we could all have if you had a party!

Lol yes Steve, especially with all the land I've got here, we'd have a riot! That stairlift is too damn slow for me (and Mum!!!! ) I might get Dave to "tweek" it a bit Talking about the stairlift, Dave came out with a classic when we had some friends round and I told them it was being fitted Monday, to which he replied "and it's coming out Tuesday"!!!!! He loves her really!

Wow Helena the house looks amazing!!!!
I can understand how proud you must be, we're in the slow process of doing up our little house and I was so chuffed at getting 1 room finished after a year let alone get a whole extension done in 1/2 a year!!!

Make sure you enjoy yourselves in your sparkly new rooms

Thanks Nicky Well, you gotta start somewhere even if it's one room! Next year you'll do another one up. We actually spent 5 years doing up just the ground floor with Dave only managing it week-ends, so I know what you mean. It's only because we had the funds this time to get other people in to do the work that it all got done so smoothly. There's only one small room to go now on the ground floor which is being plastered in a couple of weeks and painted, and then the whole house will have been refurbished. Then we start on the outside!!! Don't mind that so much though, they can make all the mess they like out there

Evening H - Sorry I missed this before. The finished upgrade does look stunning and so glad you went for dormers at the front, they do so suit the house. Well worth all the disruption and hope you enjoy it. Georgie looks happy too

See it??? I forgot to take a piccy for you, but I will do it - soon! Don't hold your breath tho' you know what I'm like!!!
