Thanks everyone for your thoughts. Still in shock here. I had convinced myself that Casey would go long before Lara but as my wife said, not for nothing is cancer known as the 'silent' killer. If she was six when she came here she would be only eight now.

Will have a proper read through tomorrow, time for Caseys last lot of tablets so goodnight all, thanks again

Awww Harvey, even when we expect it, it's still an awful time....to be unexpected and sudden makes it truly horrific...my boy died suddenly on my living room floor....he was perfectly healthy and my vet was so very shocked. I truly am sorry for your loss.

Good evening all.

Harvey, I so feel for you and your wife. It's such a terrible time to go through xx

Well the famed mattress is lovely, but now he says the bed is too short. The bed frame he chose after trying the identical one at my house. I'm just short of screaming pitch, or maybe just over it. I'll let him cool down for a couple of days then take the top rail off the base to see if that works. To be fair, the mattress is a lot deeper than the previous and his heels may be catching on that top rail it he stretches fully out - he is over 6', but this is turning into yet another nightmare.

It was lovely this morning, nice and warm, but not too hot. It turned pretty chilly this afternoon as it's been cloudy and the wind picked up. I was going to get straight onto washing the inside of the garage down, but I ache in places I didn't know I had so had a rest day today to give the old muscles a rest.

Lynn, I'm so chuffed for you. I hope your next home turns out to be a keeper for you

Goodnight all. Sleep tight xx
