Well, I guess people have different standards ...

Of course there are far worse things happening to pets. Of course dogs can live without water for a few minutes but that's really not the point, is it?

I think many of us are like that However, if attention is politely drawn to an empty water bowl, at a show, would you not refill it? I would

Actually this is an old thread, not sure why it's come up again?

I have no idea spot?/

Some dogs simply wont drink when out, some dogs wont go to the toilet when out.....

I have a friend, who shows her dogs, she will take water and offer ALL her dogs a drink throughout the day, the water bowl is always full, a couple of her dogs take a drink one will not drink whilst she is out, , Millie will never drink water when we are out on a walk.

The old saying , you can take a horse to water......... comes to play.

It is hoped that dogs that won't drink in hot conditions are given respite from the heat so that they are able to cool down.

We can't force them to drink, we can, of course, ensure that the heat doesn't cause them distress in other ways.

Bit academic really as, clearly, the dog at the show would drink, it just wasn't available
