For those that want Kanji tattoos, I would just like to share this with you:
http://www.bmezine.com/news/pubring/20031006.html

They asked a Japanese woman to translate 20 'kanji' tattoos....

oooh thanks for that Hevvur, when we were last at my OH's shop, i actually asked him if the symbols were true to the word, he said yes, it would be more than his money's worth to get it wrong. His sensibility suprises me sometimes lol

The best thing to do if you want a kanji tattoo, is (as silly as it sounds!) go to your local chinese takeaway(assuming it's Chinese folk that run it!), and ask them to write what you want.
Then take that to another shop, and ask them to tell you what it means!
In different parts of China/Japan, the kanji/katanka can mean slightly different things, so it's best to get it right!

Morning Saz

You'll have to slap me a cross the face with a walezerote paint brush if I get this wrong - but were you trying to catch up with some old friends in NZ? If so did you have any joy on oldfriends.co.nz and findakiwi.co.nz?

Just wondered.
