Teagan is a little angel too!
I can't believe they let their dogs pull them so much, and haven't tried anything else to stop them!
Did you see one of them pull their son over?!

I can't believe they waited so long to get help!
Murph's a star dog in comparrision, although he does pull on the lead I can get him to walk to perfect heel with treats in my hand!
It's true, castration doesn't normally solve the problem with testosterone for about 3 months...ad then there's no guarentee.

yep i also walked away from the program thinking by boy was brill !!

howevr my mum called me after it to say that In her opinion thats what bruno is like - so unless I have got rose tinted specs then I think she is wrong - all based on the fact that I let him up on the bed and she hates that- and he occasionally humps - however he will get off the bed when asked - he doesnt wee on the floor he isnt destructive - he only humps when very very excited and he does what he is told most of the time !!!!

do i sound defensive at all !!!????

I thought the show was pretty good for the following reasons:

It used positive reward based training (that in itself is fantastic )

it pointed out that 1 dog gets put to sleep every hour, hence th enedd to train your dogs to stop unwanted behaviour

it took the owners to a rescue (as they were thinking of taking their dog back to the rescue it was adopted from) - the rescue and sight of all the dogs there looking for homes really upset the woman and made her cry and she felt guilty for even thinking about returning her dog to one

promoted neuturing your dog (although I don't believe neuturing your dog resolved all unwanted behaviours)

showed that dogs need leadership and benefit form leadership rather than left to their own devices

it turned the dogs around and all ended well

Next weeks will be interesting as I believe it is covering dog aggression.

I thought the programme was brill. She gave useful tips and seems to know what she's doing. She drives a nice car as well so she must be doing well

Yeah I thought it was good...

For people who arn't used to training I think most of it will go over their heads as it all moves along a little too fast and they probably wont pick any of it up...

But I laughed as she does most of what I already do and now I feel like when I am out in public doing what I have always done that people will think 'oh she's copying that new fangled dog training woman'...LOL...I'm quite aware of that now...

Except I am not wearing black leather knee high dominatrix boots and shiny plastic macs...LOL

But yeah in general I could relate to alot of what she was talking about.
