how to get rid of

a trojan virus, someone sent me a pic the other day through msn and it had this attached to it, my norton was down for some reason so didnt detect it until earlier, how do i get rid of it

Even with your nortons working Luke it would of still got on your system cause you allow your anti virus and firewall to use MSN messenger and they ignore this application cause have told it to do so in the configeration.

Won't norton's delete the file for you or find it yourself don't forget to delete the sorce of the infection (the pic you got)

Yeah that sounds about right for norton's

What you need to do is find the file that it can not delete then change the file name say for instance that your virus name is called stuffed.exe

Remane it to stuffed this will not allow the virus to run cause it won't know what it is and that a bit of it is missing.

Then do another system scan and see if it finds it again

You should be able to delete it yourself once you have renamed the file
