Samsung camera

I have a Samsung S730 camera, which is easy to use, great pictures etc.
The problem is the battery life, I am lucky if I get 10 pictures before the batteries run low.
The batteries that came with the camera lasted for 3 pictures, Duracell batteries (not rechargables) lasted about 10 pictures, when I switched to rechargable I still only get about 10 pictures.
Is this normal, and can anyone recommend any good rechargable batteries.
At the moment I carry about 8 batteries when we go out for the day which is a bit of a pain.

With my Fuji camera, I use Uniross Ni-MH Rechargable 2700 mAh batteries AA, they last me ages, probably 100 pictures or there abouts.

Got them in Argos.

Thanks Crazycockers, I have a Uniross charger too and the batteries came with it. They are only 800 mAh strength so maybe that is where the problem is.
Looks like I'm off to Tesco tomorrow for different ones!
