Hi from me and the hounds

Just wanted to say hi quickly.
I'm a twenty-something from Bedfordshire (aka Deadfordshire, it's so boring here!)

We've had dogs as part of the family for nearly 20 years but it's only in the past year or two (since I got my rescue girl) that I've taken a more active interest in training and behaviour. I'm still very much a beginner but I'm doing a Think Dog course at the moment to help further my understanding. I would love to be an APDT trainer one day in the distant future!

I've also caught the Heelwork To Music bug pretty badly thanks to various friends and have been training 2 of my 3 for the past 6 months or so. We haven't really competed yet but we have lots of fun learning.

I heard you like photos, so have some collages

Tempie is a 13 month old Papillon, our little "condensed Collie" who keeps me on my toes at all times! She's the most toy-mad of the household and also the funniest (in my humble opinion).

Kizzy (Kismet) is around 2 and a half now, she was adopted from Manchester Dogs' Home in 2013. She's dog reactive (mostly lots of noise) but we're working on that and she's showing improvement and reacting less.

Russ is 7 () now, he's been going to HTM classes for about 6-8 months and I swear it's making him younger! He's lost some weight and our bond is so much closer than before, I regret not doing anything with him sooner. He got to perform at the National Pet Show which was a very proud moment for us (even if duck poo was evidently more interesting than me the second time around) and is (as far as we know) the only Corgi in the UK doing HTM. I'd love to see others, though! Obviously we're careful with the moves he does but he picks things up really quickly and loves it.

I think I've waffled enough, hope to get to know some of you a bit and learn a lot
