Another Grand Mal seizure

Just Day 15 and Pereg has just had a major full-blown Grand Mal epileptic seizure.

She is very bad post-ictal and am giving her oral Valium. Spoke to Ram and he said she can have more oral Valium if I thinks she needs it.

At the moment she will not come to me to clean up her face etc but she will take oral meds.

15 days - not good. And from nowhere.

I hate this epilepsy so very much.

Glad she is out of it now, but obviously still not quite with it.
Thats awful, the nurse just come to give you your flu jab and all is normal and going well, then next minute she is in the middle of a GM.

Ram said I can give her as much Valium as I think she needs - he trusts me to do what is right.

She had 10mg then I gave her another 10mg and she stopped bad post ictal behaviour and is now quiet. She let me wipe her face and all of her down and is a bit quiet but why did a Grand Mal seizure just come out of nowhere?

Poor girl - she is so distressed still and even though the Valium has helped calm her down a bit she is so very distressed and unhappy. And only on Day 15 - much too soon for another GM.

I so hate this epilepsy.

Oh Malka I am so very sorry to hear that Pereg has had another GM fit! They are awful and I know exactly what you are going thru'. I hope as the day goes on, Pereg will be out of them, they do take a while to come out of them afterwards,

So sorry to read this . Hopefully she will remain calm now ((hugs)) to you both.

She is very sleepy but I think that is because I gave her a lot or oral Valium. She should by now wanting her first meal but she is still very sleepy from the Valium so I will give her food when she asks.

Was just thinking how good she had coped with the balagan outside when crash, she had a GM seizure.

I hate it. I hate this epilepsy and hate her seizures.

I love Pereg do much so why does she have to be epileptic?
