Getting anxious :(

my westie is going in to have her anal glands flushed tomorrow... i am not sure if doing it is the right thing, have read alot about it and it seems like most of the time it does not work. we have been on anti-biotics for 3 weeks and today we saw the vet and she said it is urgent that ruby has her anal glands flushed.. i was not given time to read up about it or ask questions ... has any of your dogs had this procedure done? if so was it successful, i am so scared (

try not to panic

it is a relatively minor procedure as long as your dog is otherwise fit and healthy.

why is your dog having it done? does she have anal gland abscesses?
