Taz is continuing to do well, he is eating well now and off of the fluids. He is on pain relief and AB's, fingers crossed we don't get an infection. I last spoke to the vet this morning he hadn't actually passed anything up to then but it would probably take a bit of time, I should have an update later when they do the rounds.

I am just thankful he isn't stressing out, Pip would probably be screaming the place down!

Thank you all for your support and positive vibes, you do feel less alone. I am hoping he will come home on Monday, I have the large convalescing crate all ready for him!

I've only just read this thread and was so sorry to hear that Taz has been so unwell. Poor little lad and I hope that he continues to improve. It is always such an awful worry!! Healing vibes being sent to Taz and a hug for you.

Blimey Gerri, I didn't know about this. What an awful ordeal to go through and such a fright that you could have lost him, if you hadn't acted so swiftly (thank God you did).

Glad to hear he is out of the op and doing much better - what a huge relief.

xxxx

Taz is now home!! He went really mad when he saw me at the vet, I was worried he would burst his stitches!! I had to hold onto him until I could calm him down. He is a bit thinner but otherwise looking good!

The nurse put the Buster collar on for size and he was trying to eat it, he has managed to remove it and chew a lug off, thankfully I found it, it now has a leather collar threaded through but he has still managed to damage the thing, he is happily sunbathing in the lounge atm, probably planning the next attack!!
