film help

hey guys, im studying film studies at college at mo and for our first part of coursework we have to come up with a film idea.
We then have to draw up a story board and script from an extract of the film.

Our first task of course is to come up with an idea and storyline.
Ive got nothing!

I thought it might be a good idea to play off the idea of an animated film since im doing art, might be fun to combine the two.
So im thinkin around films such as toy story, finding nemo, ice age, shrek etc etc.

need a fresh idea.

However, im not stuck with this, soooo if u guys like films of other genres, ur ideas wud be much appreciated. horror sounded like a good one, but i might have nightmares

i also like the idea of a sad story, where someone dies or sumin and everyone feels connected.

or a horror where i can really do a good storyboard and make it scary!

orr an end of the world scenario!

orr i dunno

errr off the top of my head...

Some teenager dies in some tragic way, wakes up as a ghost, finds out ghosts have thier own real world, with jobs, taxes, goverments etc bla bla. So he has to get a job as in like...... he has to scare people for a living. Things dont work out, he dont fit in, bla bla make the viewers feel sorry for him, he tries to contact his parents in the real world bla bla.

Im imagining this as a cgi animated film.

There's a short story by (I think) Oscar Wilde called "The Canterville Ghost", which might fit the idea suggested by CP: it's about a chap who traps a ghost and finds out why it became a ghost, then helps it "pass on".

Yay! The old memory hasn't quite failed - Oscar Wilde it is!.....
