So very pleased to hear that you are well and as for an MP3 player I have no idea what one is
Pre-cancerous cells can be treated easily. I had some and had them treated. I was completely terrified. I asked the gynie if it was cancer and he said "no, but if you leave it a few years, it will be". That did it for me. Had them regularly after that, right up to my hysterectomy in 1994. Please go. It's v. important that you do.

When you get there, ask the nurse to warm up the 'duck thing' (can't remember the name of at the moment!) under warm water - mine does this and it makes it much better.

Book the appointment!! Not pleasant for anyone but needs doing. xx

Don't worry you're not alone, its five years this year since I had one too and although its not the smear I am particularly worried about its waiting for the results - I HATE results

You know I was going to say go and get that appointment, but I'm in exactly the same position as you, mines way over due and I just keep putting it off.
I hate having them, but as a Student Nurse I have seen them done too which I think makes it worse!
Hopefully though in a few years you won't have to go to the Nurse anymore as they're working on a test you can do yourself. Actually I think that might be even worse!
