Tomorrow is going to be an emotional day for me.....

I've got to drive from Suffolk to the National Orthopaedic hospital in Middlesex for my Son's appointment with the scoliosis specialist, so I thought I would go and visit my Uncle back where I used to live in Ascot.

He lives in the house I own part of, the one my Mum was born into, the one my Nan lived in, where I spent most of my childhood.
Right next door is the house my Father built for him and my Mother when they got married. Its the house I was born in.

The thing is I haven't been to that house since I moved my Mum from there 3 years ago, to move here with us. She died last year, 18 months after moving here with me, so to go back there, to see my old house, all renovated and without my Mum is going to be really hard.

I just hope I don't blub and end up all puffy eyed at the hospital! I don't know how Charlie is going to be either. He was also born in that house and was very close to his Grandma.

I'm trying not to be too ready to go in the morning, so I'll have something else to think about.

Thanks for listening.

Becky,

I hope it goes well at the hospital.

My thoughts are with you also when visiting your uncle. Stay strong - I know it's not long since but hopefully the house will remind you of the good times rather than the bad.

Thinking of you x

Aw Sweetie, there will be some memories for you when you go back there. You shouldn't have to bottle it up so I hope you can vent a bit here.

It is terrible to lose a parent so it will be terribly difficult, plus the hospital visit. My heart goes out to you.

We must grieve and remember ...

I hope things go well but don't be too hard on yourself - you're only human.

*Hugs* to you.

It is bound to bring a lot of memories back. Try and remember all the good times you had there. Good luck at the hospital.

You are going to have a mixture of emotions, good and bad, but lets hope the good ones outweigh the bad, and I'm sure your uncle will be so happy to see you that, hopefully, it will turn into a really enjoyable day rather than a sad one.

I hope it all goes well for you. xxx

Good luck at the hospital, Becky.

As for the visit to your Uncle and your "old" house, I'm pretty sure it's going to be very emotional. Take plenty of tissues xoxox

I hope everything goes well for you. I felt the same when I went back to my dad's house after he died.

Hope all goes well at the hospital and I am sure you will feel emotional at the house but I bet you have some happy feelings too.
