Just to let you know the daily chatterers thread is now up and running for people who post on the daily thread. Its a bit like the registered members section but you don't have to be a supporter financially only have to post fairly regularly in the daily thread but may feel you want to post something you don't wish to go on the daily thread which everyone can see.
Does that mean everyone will be posting there instead of the Daily Lynn?

Afternoon all,

Very mild but wet and windy. The dogs and I got soaked on our morning walk but on the upside we didn't meet anyone else 'cos nobody else was stupid enough to go out walking in the rain. My brother and I then went shopping but had to queue to get in to Walton-on-Thames because one of the main roads in was closed for roadwork We finally found a parking spot and managed to get quite a lot of shopping done. Only 3 more presents to get now and a few stocking fillers (for my grown up boys ). Home for lunch and then after my brother had gone I drove my OH down to the post office to send a package off. We gave up with our local one as the queue was out the door so went to the next town where it only took half an hour for him to get served I was OK 'cos I was sat in the warm car chatting away to the dogs and singing along to the radio OH dropped me and the dogs off by the main road and we walked back .... in the rain which took about 40 minutes. They've now been fed and I can finally put my feet up for a while

Lynn I hope you managed to locate those screws and turn that spare room into a bedroom again
Helena It sounds as though you and Dave had a great weekend and I'm sure you'll both enjoy your two weeks together over Christmas .. if not you've always got the excuse of walking Zena more or an urgent visit to the van site Well done for getting that ceiling done albeit in a precarious fashion. I do all the decorating here (not outside) but for the past 2 years will no longer do ceilings as they cripple my back. How strange that Zena didn't see Dave off this morning ... maybe she was just too comfy
Hi to Moet, Nippy and Kazz
Tang You must be exhausted after all your mental packing this morning although I gather you did some 'actual' packing this afternoon. I love wandering around graveyards but have no intention of ever being in one for good Me, I want to be incinerated but have made my family promised that they will double check I really am dead as I hate fire Your nativity acting prowess really made me laugh and poor baby Jesus You are wise to keep Bella use to kennels but lovely to know that Roger will always have here. No excuse for not coming over to the UK more now then
Moyra I was so pleased to read that you were well enough to go out to your Christmas 'do' today. Unfortunately the cough that most of us are left with after being unwell seems to linger on and on.
Malka Hopefully you'll be feeling a little better and warmer after spending most of the day in bed. What with all that rain you had I assume most of the mud you had has now been washed away.
LS What a shame you had to unpick all that tinsel ... why on earth didn't that teacher offer to do them all in the first place I hope it goes well tonight for her.
Girliebiker It sounds as though Shayda's socialisation is going really well ... what a good girl she is. I'm sure Santa would have loved having her on his lap.

I'm still laughing over your above post. That is just the sort of thing that I'd get roped in to doing. I just hope you don't get lumbered looking after 'the box of frogs' while all the men go off to the pub drinking. I overheard my OH telling a friend that next August he's taking one of the race cars over to France where people drive vintage cars round the village centre (which is closed off) and that he's planning on me going too ............ I really don't think so He hasn't mentioned it to me yet so I'll have to start thinking of a plan for special outings every weekend for that month so that I'm not available. I'm sure he'd love it but I really have no intention of ooooing and cooing over other people's old cars

Nah.. daily thread will still be on the open forum

The Daily Chatters Group can be joined via the 'Awards and Schemes' link in the left hand column: Dog Forum

It's basically a section to post stuff when you just want your fellow daily-thread-chatterer-friends to see.

It's a bit like a social network group, but in-house on the forum

We may add more groups later, if we think they are needed

I will post a thread about it later - but thought I'd let Lynn and Helena break the news to you first

Interesting!? There's loadsa stuff I don't want to post on the Daily Thread (after having a few full out personal attacks made on me on here - don't want to give the bar stewards any ammo!) but would like to 'burden my internet mates with'.

How come this is the first I've heard about this when I spend ages every day on Dogsey!

Had a bit of a busy afternoon, so only just sat down really.
Was going to go off and do a very tiny Christmas shop, I've only got youngest son, his partner, and her mum to worry about on Christmas Day, then there's a few close friends that I buy a card and pressie for and thats it now.
Anyhow thats done and dusted, but was literally going out of the door to do this shopping and my phone rang and it was youngest son asking if I was in as he was nearby, so he came down, we had a cup of tea and a chat, he said I wasn't to worry about needing to get home for the babies, he understood, that I would have to work around them and their mealtimes, so thats sorted out now.
Finally got out, did the shopping, went for petrol, then went for lpg so car's got all it needs in. Have actually bought cards, not doing badly at all. Pet mince for girls and home again, clean up in the kitchen, they are getting really good with the puppy pads, but also are using one of the big pieces of vetbed on the kitchen floor to stop them slipping, they're still only babies though and can't get aeriated, just keep cleaning up after them. This morning there were hardly any poo's from overnight on their sheet, they came rushing out, had a drink off mum then dutifully went onto the puppy pads, some of them did it the other way round, but there was quite a traffic jam!!!
Just tidied Mabs up in the utility, the others are being horrid to her, and didn't want to leave her outside if there's a lot of bitching (literally), so she has a bed and another indoor toilet in the utility now, getting quite complicated all these barricades and loos, but she really does need to be away from the babies as much as possible, she's come in during the day a couple of times to feed them, but she's keen to get away from them as quick as she can.
OMG I sooo need this puppy palace.....
have told youngest son, but he's not very diy orientated and was a bit vague, am still hoping my friend's OH comes up trumps but heard nothing today at all.
Got girls out on the field, and Keshi got nice and muddy with all the running round, she lost 2 balls but found her favourite traffic cone, so had a great time with that. Had a couple of hiccups with people with other dogs, but got everyone onlead and gave them daggers, and then Keshi was bouncing up and down barking at one of them, he was stood a few yards away throwing a ball for his dog, I mean how stupid was that, his dog would have been annihilated in the rush if mine had made it over there!!!
If I saw someone on with 3 big dogs running about, the last thing I'd even think of doing was taking my dog on there with a ball
Anyhow, here's a Fix, a bit late, but better late than never!!!
