If the question is which to rehome, I'd choose which you think would match your current dog best.

so the question is which dog do you want to rescue?

in that case i would say the one that gets on best with your dogs during the adoption process before you get them home

Do you have much background history on the Springer? Does either breed generally seem to suit your lifestyle? Does the rescue(s) offer trials, support, a return policy? It's not just a case of which dog would suit you, but which dog would suit your other dogs too.
It's not necessarily an either/or decision either - the "correct" answer could be one or the other, or it could be neither of these two dogs. Personally, with other dogs involved, I would look at a local rescue that will allow visits and walks to see how all dogs got along before making a commitment.
I would also perhaps consider that it may not be long before your 6 month old dog hits the "terrible teens" doggy version at 9-10 months, and perhaps consider waiting for that to pass before adopting another dog - bad habits can easily be taught to other dogs and 3 dogs misbehaving at the same time may be a handful, especially if one is a pup and the other a recent addition (especially a youngster, a dog lacking in training or socialisation, etc)

Excellent points made.

Your dogs should do the choosing. You can fall in love with a dog, but if that dog isn't the right one for your dogs, you will only have heartache.

I particularly agree with waiting until your 6 month old is a little older before bringing another dog in for all sorts of reasons
