Help Wanted With a Meal for Strangers!

As many of you will know, hubby does the main walk with Mo because of my poor mobility.
Every day he meets a man and his Yorkie and they have become really good friends and Mo adores Suzie the Yorkie.
I have met him just once.
Hubby said he would like to invite this chap and his wife round one evening. I agreed it would be nice and why didn't he invite them to dinner, I thought it might be easier for us all to have a meal, than to sit looking at each other wondering what to say.
What have I done
I'm going to be feeding two strangers. I'm not a very clever cook. It will have to be something plain and simple. Shall I do a roast?
What do you all think?

you read my mind.

Before I had even got to the end I thought 'do a roast'

The only drawback about a roast is that it would presumably mean you spending quite a bit of time in the kitchen (well it seems to when I do one!) when perhaps you should be socialising? But I guess if you got everything prepared beforehand, it should be fine.

(If you haven't done so already, get your Hubby to check that they don't have any special dietry needs).

I hope you all have a lovely evening, whatever you decide to cook

Thanks Fiona, I have got my roasts down to a fine art now what with having all the family every Sunday.
I can prepare it all during the day and then just leave it to cook on it's own I thought.
I will let you know how it goes and try to get some pics of Mo and Suzie

You cant go wrong with a roast (as long as they are not veggies).

Well Jenny, everyone seems to think a good roast is the way to go, and who am I to argue, I like roast too, mind you, being a bloke I'd have suggested a take away pizza
