Nite Moyra, hope you are back on both feet very soon, you must be totally fed up of all this by now. Very nice guy been and really helpful, and guess what, the taps already had those things on Griff, so why the heck the emergency bloke was making such a song and dance over it I have no idea, because all he's had to do was turn the bggrs off!!! He's going to price it all up for me and let me know, he can do it this week, well he's on another job next week, so that suits me, he says I am safe to use the washer, which I wasn't sure of. Was interested in the girls and went out to see them, his rellies are in the police and in the dogs or in the military and in the dogs, he says they have big fluffy ones so mine didn't faze him one bit.

Hi June, yes that link that Griff found are exactly the same as on our taps. The emergancy plumber must be blind if he didn't see them, I saw them a soon as I moved in and I turned them to make sure they worked.

At least you are now safe from mass flooding and if anything should go wrong in future you can get a screwdriver and turn the appropriate one off PDQ and still have water in the rest of the house.

Just be sure you're sitting down You should be anyway 'cos you did something to your back recently and Dr. Harvey says don't (whatever you do) be tempted to go out walking and climbing up and down river banks.
