Dog Acne

What is the best thing to use on acne on dogs Stars chin is spotty at the moment and it looks sore. I have been putting savlon on it. Anything else I can use or any tips that will prevent it

I already use stainless steel bowls for feeding and water.

Oh no, that's not acne, that's a chin boil. Most bull type breeds get them at some time or other. The Presa that I watched used to get those from time to time, and I would use Meleleuca Oil on it. Cleared it up in a day.

Thanks. It does look like the picture in the link. It is just red but no discharge or smell.

Carole,
Melaleuca is another name for Tea Tree (native Australian plant). Tea Tree Oil is a powerful antiseptic.

You can also use calendula (herb) whci you can make up as a tea. Soak a cottonwool ball and hold it to the infected area. Should clear up in no time.
