The production of wind is normally due to inappropriate feeding, the prime triggers for wind production are a)cereals and grains and b) dairy products.

This is because dogs do not possess the enzymes necessary to digest grain and dairy efficiently and so bacteria breaks it down in the lower gut.

So you may need to change food, what are you feeding him now?

that is >50% rice, oats and barley in other words over 50% carbohydrate (not counting the CHO in the veg) so it could be this that is causing the wind, and if you have changed the food this will change the gut flora, ie bacteria and perhaps increase wind production (the above is based on turkey and rice puppy variety), so you could wait and see..............

Hmm, not sure what you mean by "only contains raw materials" as that is what all dog food contains before it is processed and this has been processed ie cooked and extruded to form the nuggets.

I am also extremely wary of their claims for their product and wonder if the Trading Standards Officer has passed them!?

Just light a match, laugh and get on with it Thats what we do when Freckles lets one go.....mind you I do live with an almost 15 year old who rivals her at the best of times

But I'm with Smokeybear, I'm curious about the validity of their claims too!!!

Toby was terrible before we switched his food. He would get up, come over to us, fart, and then go back to bed and just leave us with the smell!

Having an air freshener spray near to hand is a good solution too!
