I will report Deccy one way or the other.

Jeanette Should be at Dumfries look forward to seeing you then.

We got two firsts at Carisle with Pellow one in AV Hound NSC Grad and one in ACV Not Bred by exhibitor and nothing in the Group, but there were 50 odd dogs as it was not judged on the group system. Rye had a second in AV Open. So it was a godd day for us.

The leos were under Frank Kane at LKA last year and I thought his judging was sound, he judged it how he saw it. He judged the rottis earlier in the year and again judged it how he saw it. So I think he's one to go under. It seems to me he's very much a movement judge. Just my opinion of watching him.

Going to Manchester tomorrow but not taking mine. There as a backup handler, which is nice. No three hours of bathing and grooming tonight. No struggling with the dog and the trolley. Lot's of space for shopping etc.

As regards not trusting the judge. If you watch crufts on TV Frank Kane is always there giving his advice and judgement he is an all rounder and not a breed specialist so it is difficult to know what type he will go for in the Borzoi its not that I don't trust him (I don't know him) its just that I really don't know what he will be looking for, so will just have to wait and see what he does on the day. Thanks again for your good wishes and hope they work.

We shall go and enjoy it and if they win anything it will be a bonus.

Hi Eunice,

We're not going but we wish you good luck.

I know of your judge (not personally but have been under him several times), he goes on movement, you could have the best mover in the class with a fault and he'll give it to the mover. That is so long as there isn't anyone he knows in the class

(Not sour grapes, he gave Giddy 1st Puppy at a champ show and has always placed my dogs)

Look forward to hearing how you got on. x

Thank You Megan 57and Scorpio for your comments on Frank Kane . If he goes for movement we should be in with a chance (provided as Scorpio says there is no one he knows in the class) as Pellow is a lovely dog and he is a good mover, not sure bout Rye as he is a different type entirely from Pellow and can move well when it suits him, if only he would keep his tail down(nothing wrong with the tail set)just that that he is so happy when he is in the ring and wags it in the air, have tried allsorts to get him to keep it down without success any tips would be gratefully appreciated). At least I am a bit more aware of what FK will be looking for thanks again folks. as I say we will go and enjoy and if we win its a bonus.

Luz. No its not at GMex Centre - hasn't been held there for quite a while (thank goodness I did not like that venue -and all the metal open starirways which the borzois hate] its at Stafford County Showground.

Just got back from a fantastic (and VERY long) day at Manchester!! It was Gracie's (Pug) first champ show and at only 6 and a half months i was expecting it to be a little overwhelming for her, but she was just perfect!!!

We had her in the Puppy of the Year Stakes class, which was a big class in the huge, posh main ring - and she WON!!! She was beaten by the dog for the qualification for the final, but he was a stunning Bishon that was several months older so we were not at all upset about that!!

Then... We tried the breed class. Minor Puppy Bitch, 20 entries, and after 45 mins in the ring being moved places, moved around the ring, standing, triangles, circles, up and down the ring etc etc etc Gracie WOn that too!! And then she beat the puppy bitch for Best Bitch Puppy, but was beaten for Best Puppy by the dog, who was her half brother

All in all, a very good day for us, and Gracie loved it!!!! Off again on Sunday with the toller...
