Greed.
Dogs dont have it but they suffer from its effect.
A champion dog can earn money =enter greed
A bitch can produce a saleable litter= greed
a good pedigree is worth money= greed
A desirable dog can earn social status = enter greed.

The greed is that of humans for money social status or other rewards the victims are the dogs who suffer inbreeding /overbreeding / bad training/ and the indignity of being traded like vegetables instead of beings with feelings and emotions.

The sooner that humans are tested on their suitablity to own a dog rather than their wallet doing the talking the better.

I agree with Strangechilde re the poo issue.

Breed specific legislation is still very near if not top of my list though

I agree, unfortunately, that the humans are the worst problem in dog world.

Dog relating laws that are not enforced - eg fowling, banned dog breeds, dogs not wearing collars in public, and very likely the forthcoming microchipping law.

In my world it is the sadness at the number of lovely dogs in rescue. In fact don't get me started! Far too many dogs in kennels for too long needed good homes, nothing wrong with the dogs.

There are a number of reasons why they end up there, some are genuine cases of course. Many are back to the humans who don't want them anymore. Designer crosses don't help either people want the latest trend and not a poundie.

Oops don't get me started. Think I will keep quiet on this one about designer dogs etc. Just mongrels at the end of the day, but cats are just as bad with their poops as they don't seem to bury it these days, mind you at least if they don't we can see it easier. And of course you have the horses which leave it all over the road and get in your tyres. Seriously we must live and let live I think. Far more serious things to think about like going on a train or bus in a crowded area.?? who knows?? Just aswell LG is on holiday or he would seriously have a rant.

Not all owners for you are one and then there is me and a few others on here. And without owners I wouldn't have dogs to train. Our dog training classes celebrate 50 years of being in existence this year. So goodness knows how many owners we have trained?

Dog poop and rubbish everywhere is my biggest gripe,
After that owners who think their dog is so friendly they assume my dog wants to say hello - which half the time she doesn't
