I think there is a big difference between an owner who simply doesn't want the dog any more, for whatever reason, and an owner who is putting their dog's needs first and is doing the best for the dog.

I can't offer your girl a home and you have already been given good advice, I just wanted to offer my sympathies that it has come to this heartbreaking decision for you I hope that you find a good home for your girl. xx

What ever you do don't advertise free to good home...
As it's been well documented about dogs that are 'used' for baiting fighting etc.

I would probably word the ad and not mention price and mention that all homes will be vetted.

That way you can sift through the prospective homes and choose the one that you'd feel happiest with.
