Rose, I don't think whatever they do for us will be a perfect job and we can never expect to be as we were after a horrific injury such as yours and mine. The day I can peel a spud without the pain I will be more than happy, so that's my goal in life....being able to peel a spud lol!

Funny old weather here, one minute it's sunny, then very cloudy and muggy, I think it's desperately trying to rain but can't quite do it. I hope it doesn't all happen when poor Dave is making his way back home cos the forecast is pretty bad with the amount of rain we're expecting today.

I'm not going to play with Zena this afternoon, she had a good, long walk and run this morning and I don't want her panting all evening like she was last night, but she's lying here looking at me with those pathetic eyes, with her ball inbetween her front paws, just waiting and waiting for me to get off here.....*sighs*

Helena I was thinking the same thing.

Doubt you will get any rain its all been here today I think we had a dry spell for an hour. It has been torrential with storms. Part of the river bank in a village not far from here has collapsed engineers on their way Tesco in the same village flooded and two villages nearby flooded. Luckily we haven't flooded but the road is running like a river at the moment and the garden is extremely wet.
Gorden's journey is going to be a difficult one.

Moyra, if you are making trifles, I won't say no, I could have it for my birthday tea, you do know it's my birthday on Monday don't you?

We had a lovely lunch, then came home and ironed and rehung curtains

He's 36 and mourning the loss of his youth LOL. All I hear is that he's nearly 40! Keep telling him the best part is yet to come

Some days I can peel a potato but what eludes me is opening the back of the car with that hand... OUCH...and just not the strength... the maddening when my other arm is full of knitting to load.

Apparently the local hospital has a terrible reputation for making a total mess of surgery...and on Sundays they let the children play at being doctors.....
