i can't wait!!. I've just had my front garden ripped out so it's all level, tarmaced etc. So I can put said 'van on there. The car will have to be parked on the tarmac on the other side of the pavement (where it uually sleeps!).

Well mines a camper van not a caravan but it comes with all mod cons, so if I'm ever down your way we could do run in the country with the pack, maybe Raz will have come out of his shell by then

I always wanted a campervan to replace my tents - actually I really wanted a Winnebago [well a girl can dream...] but now I would settle for one of these...

I'd love a narrow boat (we live not too far from the Trent and Mersey Canal). It might have been achieveable at some point if I were still working, but I doubt it ever will be now.

A caravan is not such a daft 'want'. You should all go out and buy one immediately!

I go on holiday in my parents touring caravan every year so definitely nothing bizarre about caravan ownership. What's a tad more bizarre is wanting a caravan without having the vehicle to tow it with!

We love taking our caravan out. It was mum n dads. Its much nicer waking up and looking out of your window at a field full of sheep.

Could you not site it on a farm site near to a village with a train station/pub/shop?
