Young puppy needs socialization

Hi, everyone!
I recently rescued an abandoned puppy.. she was in very bad shape when I found her: eyes crusted completely shut, very weak, malnutritioned and bony, covered in flies, fly eggs, and fleas, full of ring worms, and only 3-4 weeks old. I took her to the vet once, and she has made a wonderful recovery and has started acting like a puppy!!
I wasn't a dog person (at all) prior to rescuing her, but she's melted my heart! From what I found online, I've read it's important for a puppy to be socialized, especially around .. 12-16 weeks (or is it 8-16)? The problem is this: I don't know where to take her for puppy socialization. I've called the animal shelter to see if they had suggestions, and they told me to check with pet stores. I had seen pet stores offer puppy training classes, but they require proof of vaccinations. I really do not want to vaccinate the puppy.. While I understand many dog owners believe it's important (which is fine), I've come across information and personally wouldn't feel right about vaccinating mine. Is anyone aware of a place I can take my puppy for socialization that will not require proof of vaccinations?? Maybe a group of dog owners who want to socialize their non-vaccinated pets? Lol
The puppy is now approx. 5-6 weeks old.
My general location is Mobile, AL if that helps at all!
Thank you for your input!!

Olivia

Here, UK, your dog needs to have his shots, worm tablets, flea meds, be chipped and tagged. The risk is what he may pick from up or give to others if you want him to socialise.

Socialisation for dogs is pretty much the same as for us, it just entails meeting and greeting, saying hello to others when out and about, it doesn't need to be anything formal.
Anyway most places would insist on puppy vaccinations at least, Lots of people don't continue with vaccinations after the first year. Flea and worm treatment only needs to be given when necessary it's not needed routinely. You wouldn't take headache pills in case you got a headache, you'd wait until you had one.

Our puppy had her first parvo and distemper shots at 6 weeks and that seemed to satisfy everyone.
We put her in puppy obedience at 8 weeks.
She started at Petco puppy playtime at 12 weeks. We could only go a few times because they wanted to see rabies at 4 months and we waited until 6 months.

I agree that socialisation need not be formal. It might work best when it is not.

Vaccinations..............
Ours gets them not to fix problems but to prevent them in the first place.

That's what vaccinations do, they are preventative not curative

You could same about the flea drops. I don't want him to get infected with fleas from any other animal.

No flea and worm treatment when the dogs don't have fleas are pointless and a waste of money. Probably harmful as well a bit like over vaccination imo.
None of my current dogs, the eldest is 10, have ever had fleas so why treat what they don't have? a bit like taking headache pills in case you get a headache.
