Thanks for your thoughts, Jen.

Should I perhaps give them a copy of the answers to the questions I have?

I plan to give them copies of my qualifications and another CV which I have slightly updated again.

I wouldn't take a list with you, but rehearse them so that they are more natural when you ask them.

To me, taking lists in with you seems a little like someone sitting an exam with a text book in front of them

Thank you, Chris.

I've been trying to rehearse them for the past couple of days, who knows if I'll actually remember much of it though.

I plan to give them a fresh copy of my CV and copies of my qualifications. Could I perhaps give them a copy of my question and answers too? Maybe not but it was just a though.

I wouldn't (but that's just me). If I was interviewing and read your questions and answers in your portfolio, I'd be wondering if what you did ask were your own questions or ones that you had been advised to ask either through friends or the internet. In other words, I'd be wondering if I was seeing the 'real' you.

Hope that makes sense.

Of course, I could be wrong, but I wouldn't be impressed by it

Thanks for all your thoughts.

I'm not experienced in interviews really so this is good!

I won't give them the questions, it was just a brief thought I had anyway!

As someone who has been involved in assessment days normally this consists of

Alpha numeric test
Presentation
Interview
Group task

Several different people may be assessing you as this group get together and give their views on how each individual fared in each section

So these can take all day or not long at all depends on the seniority of the post

Tips for Group task

Make sure you understand the task, most people dive in without thinking. (You see them doing the exact same thing in the Apprentice). Normally you are given a task that bears no resemblance to reality so that nobody can have an advantage.

As for SWOT

Strengthns, Weaknesses, opportunities, threats, well I never admit to any weaknesses, I field this question with I have several qualities which can be an advantage or a disadvantage depending on the context.

In the interview you may get asked questions such as

Give me an example of where you had to deal with a difficult customer.

And you would respond with

I remember on one occasion that a very irate customer came in because something had broken.

And then say how you dealt with them to their satisfaction and that of the business eg you took them aside, got them to sit down, offered a cup of coffeee etc etc etc

So you may want to have some examples of innovation, how you made a mistake and what you learned from it and what special virtue you can bring to the PAH team

Not sure if any of the above helps, just some thoughts plucked from my experience

I'm really pleased with how today went. Hopefully they were pleased with me, too. I will find out on Wednesday.

Good luck!

Was the interview as worrying as you thought?
