Going To Try Some Flyball!

After lots of searching and emailing different clubs, I've finally found a club locally that can give us a go! So me and Isla will have our first go at Flyball on Sunday, here's to hoping she enjoys it. Just you watch, I'll get there and Little Miss Attitude will suddenly decide she doesn't like Tennis Balls anymore!

Wish us luck for Sunday!

It's called The Teesdale Flyball Club, they train near Gainford. I emailed a few in the area and this one was the only one that replied, they seem really friendly so lets hope Isla behaves herself. God, who am I kidding!

We know a few of them through agility and I can confirm they're lovely! You'll have a great time!

Sure you'll have a fab time, we often see that the dogs are very different from normal on their first session - ie not as interested in balls or recall goes out the window with all the distractions etc but the second time they are loads better... Hope you have fun

Well I managed to find the place and I have to say we had a fab time. Isla was very well behaved, only having a bit of a grump at one of the dogs who was about to thieve her ball!

At first she was quite scared of the box and the bucket in front of the box didn't help, but towards the end I was running over the jumps with her off lead and she managed to press the box on the last two goes to get the ball out.

Will definitely be going back next week, Isla loved it and everyone there was lovely too.

Oscar, on the other hand, had a very stressful time left at home (I videoed him just to see how he coped). Looks like I'll have to take him with me after all.
