What does CC mean in show results?

My question is exactly as above!!!!

It is probably a very stupid question and I apologise in advance. But what does the CC mean??

It means challenge certificate,your dog needs three of these to gain his title of champion.

Can you tell me some more. In what context is it given per Champ show, is it one per breed per show and how is it awarded, say in relation to the BoB.

everyone who wins a class will go in for the cc there are 2 one for a bitch and one for a dog the best will be picked form the winning line up ....after the winner has the CC ( and you need 3 to become a champion ) both dog and bitch winner will compete head to head for best of breed

Just like best bitch of breed and best dog of breed and they are given at champ shows.

don't forget though some breeds now have single cc on offer at champ shows

....and not all Championship shows offer CC to all breeds. The KC decide each year how many sets CC will be on offer to each breed and only Crufts and the National have CC's for all breeds (excluding the Import Register Breeds). Now some breeds do not always get sets and only one is offered that goes to the BOB. Judges do not have to award CC if they do not think they have a dog or bitch of sufficient merit, they do have to name a best bitch, best dog and BOB however.

I Think WKC has cc's on too for every breed, maybe the first skc in may too but not sure about that one
