she would really love some Ouma's Rusks so if you could send a crate that would be great - of course if she didn't like them I would have to eat them all - I was born in Jo'burg.

Just had a PM form someone close to us who wants to meet Millie - great seeing as I have just discovered she can open doors and let herself into the spare room for a kip

Where in JHB were you born? When did you leave?

You can get Ouma's rusks from the South African shops. But they are probably expensive.
Whenever my sister comes back here to visit, she has a list of things ppl want. Dotn think Ouma's rusks has ever been one of them. Its usually Guava rolls, Milo, Milo bars ... things like that

Can't think for the life of me what area it was as parents lived in a few - Buccleugh (sp?) was one of them. Born in sandtown clinic.
Moved to malawi for a while and when we returned to SA we went to the South Coast - port Shepstone, left in 1989 though.
Rusks aint cheap here, used to also buy billies and boerewors but made my own this year and they were pretty good. Tried making rusks but they are never as good as Ouma's

I Know where you were born (also dont know the spelling). I live very near to Sandton Clinic, and that is where my baby will be born in May.

Never been to Port Shepstone.

Nice to have someone here that knows SA a bit
