Guinness...my lovely greyhound boy!!

Having lost Holly just over a week ago the last thing on my mind was adopting another grey so quickly. However my hubby really wanted another female grey so I relented. I then realised that just beacuse we'd lost Holly didn't mean that there were any less beautiful greys desperately needing a home and the love we could give. So today we went to Shropshire and Borders rescue and saw loads of hounds. We took one out but I couldn't take her as she was white and brindle like Holly and I wanted one totally different so I didn't feel we were replacing her.
Anyway...then we met Glen, a gorgeous white and black boy with black polka dots!! I looked into his eyes and something melted me! We took him out for a walk and he was wagging and looking up at both of us.
I then knelt down and he came to me and put his head on my shoulder!! That was it...we got our other 4 out and introduced them. Not a murmur!! They just took him in their stride!
So now he's called Guinness and he's fast asleep on his bed!!
He really is a beauty. He needs some weight on but has been putting it on well in kennels. His coat is also a bit patchy but TLC, plenty of food and cod liver oil will sort that out!!

So sorry for Holly but good for you! Guinness is one lucky boy! You'll need to put some pics up once he's settled so we can see how gorgeous he is . He sounds lovely.

Congrats

Aww, Whenever we look at the RGT website I could just take them all home when you look into their eyes. When we move house Paddy is definitely getting a friend!

You can never replace a dog but you can give another dog a chance. It sounds like he decided you were the ones! Congratulations.
