She is very sick and I do not think it will be fair to let her suffer any more.

Sometimes it really is the last loving thing you can do for a dog, sadly we can't do the same for human but for our dogs we can help them to pass gently and humanely.

Malka, if it's any consolation at all, Loki's are grand mal too and although he has had up to 17 at a time, his physical and mental health are both fine. He has been anaesthetised on a few occasions and it was touch and go whether he'd make it. But he did, and he's 9 now. If you could see him today, just 3 weeks or so after the last cluster, you'd never know he was epileptic.

I hope that is of some comfort to you. xxx

However, you know your Pereg. You will know if the time has come to say goodbye to your girl and nobody would or could ever say you didn't do your very best for her. And you will get support and words of comfort from everyone on here.

Big hugs for you and Pereg. xxx

Malka, give her 24 hours and see how she is then, you know yourself how quickly she returns back to her old self.

Malka, you are not being selfish. Anyone who has had to deal with seizures knows how stressful and taxing it is; others can imagine. You can do what you can do and no more. Your love for Pereg is beyond question, true, honest and real, and painful and trying when she's ill. I wish you strength. I wish I could lend you something more material like the use of my washing machine.

So sorry Malka and it sounds from what you are telling us that you think maybe the time is right to let her go so that she can be at peace. You know her so well and can be the only person to judge that the time has come. Lots and lots of ((((hugs)))) to you and gentle ((hugs)) for Pereg.
