Dog handling - Fiona (1 yr old) style

Fiona is really getting to grips with the dogs. She'll only really play with them in the garden and she knows not to mess with them unless she's with us. Anyway apart from the odd whip she suffers from Breagh's tail they all seem to now accept her as another (albeit little) person they have to listen to.

She wanted them to go inside

First - the watering can over the tail method

Then the more recognised lead & collar method

Cheers.

Apart from the shed and greenhouse - it's just all grass for the kids and dogs.

When we moved in 12 years ago we had no back garden - just a yard which backed onto a steep field.

I got lucky and managed to buy the field. It was much bigger than we needed so fenced off the bit we wanted to keep and flogged most of it (behind that fence) to the other houses so they could have gardens too.

It's was just rough pasture but after removing all the rocks, planting those trees and mowing for 10 years - it's not bad - although it still grows about 6" a week in the summer.

It's nice having a contained area where the kids can play and it's big enough for the dogs to have zoomies.

Brilliant pictures, bless her! I love the last one, it's like she saying, 'come on Mr/Mrs, stop playing around now, I won't take ANY nonesense, come on' Very good!

Oo yes I love your garden too, what I would do for a garden that size! How do you keep your grass in such good condition too?! I guess because you've got so much of it it doesn't wear out quite as quickly as mine! You would never think the land was once rough pasture, well done x

Lovely pics as usual, she'll get there. You will turn around and she will be a junior handler!
