Along wait!

In May I ordered a fridge for home delivery from Argos. Their delivery time is 35 days which I thought was excessive but went with it, it was the cheapest place I could get the fridge.
Well It has been so warm and my fridge is well past it's sell by date so I contacted Argos to ask if there was a chance the delivery could be brought forward. I had an email back to tell me more or less I knew the delivery time was 35 days when I placed my order and that someone would contact me around the 20th June to arrange delivery.
Yesterday, 11th June, I had a phone call asking if they could deliver on Friday, 13th June.
Coincidence? or did my complaint work to get an earlier delivery???

that's probably why they've got a delivery slot available on that date - no-one else wants it

I'd take the risk to have it a week earlier than expected

I watched a Derren Brown last night on superstitions and how they come about, and he had a very funny experiment.. anyway, it just showed what a load of bunkum superstition is.. Take the fridge a week early. It'll be fine.

I'd be more superstitious about having Argos delivery men in my house than the date!

We had a sofabed for my office delivered when I was at work. Mum was here and they gouged a huge hole in the wall taking it upstairs and had the nerve to say it was there when they got there.
The house was brand new, so I don't think so!

Keep an eye on them and check your fridge thoroughly before you sign anything.

Ok Friday 13th wasn't unlucky after all
The fridge has arrived and is plugged in and working. No gouges in the walls either
