So good she has landed on all 4 paws, she is well and made it through all the trauma and shaky start.

I forgot to add,

The AR4 and AK4 numbers only signify the edition of the Kennel Gazette that those registrations originally appeared in.
My two were both registered in 2009, and their Gazette numbers are AK1 and AK3.

Done my adding up now, brain was a bit all over the place yesterday, isn't the mother a bit old for a first litter.
Not sure what that means with the reg numbers Carole

Yes, I thought so too, but she did have the litter just within the KC cut off age. I was surprised that there were so many particolour puppies from two solid colours.

Re. the A numbers. They are for information and do not form part of the registration number. (I don't know what the A stands for, but I will ask someone. My best guess is that they will eventually continue on through the alphabet).
The second letter denotes the year that the reg. appeared in the KC Gazette, Breed Record Supplement, (so K = 2009 in my case). I think they must have missed out the letters I & O.
The number that follows, gives you the quarterly edition.
Only important for breed historians really.
I hope this is clearer than mud!

Despite the early setbacks, she's a beautiful girl and now you can all get on and really enjoy her without the worry.

My own girl had problems (dietary and digestion) for the first 18 months, but now she's a wonderful, healthy girl who's a true joy to us. I hope you and your little one will have as much love to share for many, many years to come

First litter shouldn't really be after the age of 4 as it can cause health problems later in life. Cut off should be around 8 years for the last litter. Mine have their feet up by then,I think just gone 6 was the latest from memory. Latest regs from the KC say no more than 4 litters in a lifetime which I think is a very sensible decision.
I've had ink marked puppies several times from solid coloured parents, very much depends on whats in the background. Always very popular, but frowned upon by some people. I love them personally

The best way to hit a BYB is through the pocket. There is a fraud line on the inland Revenue site. As they have several dogs they will have a good income from it tax free. Did you pay cash? Harder to trace.
