The little wheel underneat can sometimes get dirty just needs a little clean. Or it coudl of worn out.

If you do get a new one I would favour a cord rather than the wireless ones (Less to go wrong!) and the newer ones don't have a roller ball thingy they have a little red light (LED I think it's proper name) so there is nothing to collect dust and fluff
I've had this one for six years without a problem

We have the ones with wires and the little red lights they work well. Just plug them in to the back of the keyboard.

Completely off topic, Losos don't know if you can get 'Antiques Roadshow' 6pm today where you are but there is going to be set of surgeons instruments on from, think 1860's, i remember the advice you gave re. the ones i have here, thankyou n just thought might be of interest to you

More important, you make sure you see it and then you'll know for sure what they are worth
