I've got a blackberry picker as well.
I cook the veg to be added to their food so they can digest it. You see bits of carrot come out the other end undigested when they have raw carrot to chew on. My ute will eat any fruit/veg I give him, cooked or raw. Whether he gets much from it I don't really know but he obviously enjoys eating it, like I say, he picks his own when he gets the chance.
