Sometimes when I get an email with a photo included and also on some of the posts on Dogweb. All I get is a little box with a cross inside instead of a photo. I read the other posts all expressing what a lovely photo, but all I get is a
this little box with a red cross. How do I access the photo. Sorry hard to describe.

Take a look at the Internet Options... in the IE Browser
1. Open IE 6 Browser

2. Click Tools> Internet Options...> Advanced Tab.

3. Under Settings: scroll down to Multimedia section and look at the check boxes especially [ ]Show Pictures

You will find many pictures are no longer there - hence you get the red cross

Right next steps

Make sure scripting, ActiveX controls, cookies, and Java applets are enabled in Internet Explorer. To do so, follow these steps:
a. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
b. Click the Security tab, and then click Default Level (if it is available) for the zone which contains the Web page (for example, Internet).
c. If you are using Internet Explorer 6, click the Privacy tab, and then click Default (if it is available).

And to try and sort out outlook try this:
Click Start, point to Programs, and then click Outlook Express.
On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Security tab.
Click to clear the Block images and other external content in HTML e-mail check box.
Click OK.
