D'oh! Not the smartest dog ever...

Got home from work in time to see OH leave (he is on nights)

Made up Max's tea in his Kong (dry mixer with peanut butter) and went for a shower.

Gone about 15 mins in total.

Back downstairs to see Max, Kong abandoned with his head in the tub of margarine

OH has left it on the worktop this afternoon (not even in plain view - from where the knife etc was) and Max has left a kong filled with his favourite food to counter surf the flippin' Flora!!!

Have thrown the tub away is it is all licked and bitten

Good job we've got some more for my toast!

Am now expecting a tummy ache, sick or poo.... nice!

Well I see it like this, he's the one who left it there, so it's only fair he's the one who cleans up tomorrow morning!!!

Max is fine this morning!

No sick, no bad tummy...

I've been out with him for every toilet trip - nothing out of the ordinary

He wolfed his normal breakfast too!

OH has been severely reprimanded for leaving the margarine tub out!

A friend of me had a Bouvier that had eaten 5kg of butter... and got sick of it. Afterwards it was very easy to make him understand that certain places were "off limits". Simply placing the wrapping of that peticular buttermark in front of the door and he wouldn't pass it

Greetings

Johan

We've been (or I've been?) very strict about leaving food items/edible/chewable items on the counter top...

Sadly my OH seems to have forgotten that Max will (even with us in the same room if necessary) try and eat anything left on the counter...

If caught in the act, he will automatically go and lie on his bed, although we've never "sent" him there...
