...can i ask whats the big deal about holding a dogs scruff?

when my dogs do not have collars on i have been known to do this?? they do not cry or dislike it..infact u should see how much loose skin is there in the first place?...and the main reason dogs get sub-cut injections etc there is because of the lack of nerve endings there is there

really think peeps can get a bit ott

I guess, as with any subject that involves your interests (in this case dogs), you are likely to comment. Although people may not like showing, they like dogs, and if they see practices that they do not agree with or understand they are going to mention it.
Whats odd about it?

I'm aware I'm not exactly making much sence, or less sence than is usual.

Its been a long day/last week and I'm going to need a long holiday, after the sh*t has hit the fan and when the mess has been cleaned up.

think the point people are trying to get across with that is the same point as a dog being on a show lead, some people dont like how the leads are held on the dogs neck, as it looks uncomfortable, same as holding the dog by the scruff, some people think it makes the dog look uncomfortable.

People who love dogs will generally hold an interest in anything that happens to them, even if they are not directly involved in it.

They make like or dislike what they see, in which case they will comment on it.
