I haven't been to the lakes for many years, have some very happy childhood memories there.

Hope you have a wonderful time, and make sure you take loads of photo's!

Have a great time! I am off to Grasmere in December, if you go along Grasmere's main road, look for the BIG travellers rest pub/hotel, behind it up the hill, stands a big house on its own, thats where we are going! Enjoy yourself.
Dawn.

Welcome to my patch - I do hope you enjoy yourselves .

It's wet at the moment. we have had a lot of rain so the rivers and Lakes are fairly full, but not too cold, and the leaves are just beginning to turn and fall so watch out for slippery roads. Kath.

Thanks Kath, we always enjoy ourselves. Would live there in a minute.
Will watch out for the roads, pray for dry weather. 5 day forecast looks ok. Oh well, there's always the jacuzzi and pool in the B&B

Oh I stayed at that Travellers rest pub about 20 years ago when I went with my boyfriend. His grandma owned a beautiful detatched white cottage up the road from it - it was beautiful The only thing I didn't like about that pub was it had glass in the toilet doors in the inn bit and I hated using the toilets cos of it
