Closure Trixie

Well, finally last night we buried our Trixie, was quite emotional as we new it would be. Needless to say we had a few brandy's as well.We were waiting for the right time, if there is such a thing...We let the other 3 have a sniff of her collar and the box, they smelled her, that's for sure!! Each one reacted differently. Big C. had one sniff and turned his head, like saying, no, she's gone, you can't fool me. X. just waggled her tail and looked around. Little C. just wouldn't stop sniffing.......Trixie has been laid to rest near her favourite spot so she can see what's happening there. Hope we can have closure now, it has been a difficult time but Life goes on and we need to think about the others now!! Big C. is coming for a walk now in the morning, only in the field next door but he's so excited about it, he's first at the gate and runs around like a small puppy. Finally, little C is running around with him. It's good to see they are getting into a Pack again!!

So here we go.......RIP Trixie, we'll never forget you.... love you forever xxx

I`m sorry to hear about your loss. That sounds like a lovely thing, letting the other dogs make their farewells. Remember the happy times.

So sorry for your loss.

The pain does subside in time and eventually you will be able to look back with a smile rather than a tear.

RIP Trixie.
