Morning - Dogsey Daily Thread Saturday

Morning all Dogsey Peops

What an absolutely glorious morning it is here darn sarf, blue skies up above, birds tweeting away, everything so still, it's going to be another hot one today.

My visit to the docs went well yesterday, I told him all, and he said it was already up on his puter that they must call me in for a full blood panel cos I haven't seen anyone for 3 years. He would have done it yesterday, but my morning coffee would have given him a wrong result so the earliest I could book is the 14th and I am to see him 2 days after and he'll decide wht to do with me then. He's a good bloke, Indian, and he's the sort of head of the practice, the senior doctor and although he mentioned heart specialists further on down the line, I really don't think or even hope that'll be necessary, but we shall see.

Got the van to do (again!) this morning cos I forgot to take that bedding yesterday, then I'm going to get some more turf cos this lot has taken off so well on the bald patches, I might as well slap it on all over lol!

I dug out last year's cut offs from the drawer cos it's getting so warm now, and only one pair didn't have paint splatters on them, so I'm going to bin them all and treat myself to some new ones. I tried getting some the other day, but nobody had any. I only like the cotton, cargo type ones, and these tight skinnies in the heat are not good, I shall put all those away for the winter now.

Got yet another booking for the van again last night, and I'm finding it strange, that it's still only couples with a dog who are enquiring when this van is so much larger. I much prefer that anyway, God help me if I get a family of 6 in there, all that washing

Lynn, I do hope you hear something from the agents today with the new pics, cos it does look so much better.

Jenny, Today is the big day next door isn't it, I don't envy you, hope you've got some ear plugs!!

Bitkin, So sorry to have read about your poor dad, and you're right, this would probably have been his worst nightmare and at 98, I'm sure he's ready to go peacefully now.xxx

Lorraine I hope everything goes well today for you and that he gets a good send off.

Jen, I hope your rear end problems have now ceased and you can have thos fish and chips today maybe

Well, off out with Zena shortly, hope you've got exciting plans for this week-end as it's a bank holiday or maybe just chilling out at home enjoying the break

Morning H and all

It's not blue skies here H, I am expecting rain any minute. Good news that the bookings are coming in for the van. I hope that the blood tests all come back ok.

I had a busy day yesterday, mostly spent up the scaffold tower battling with the leylandii hedge. I had my virtual hospital appointment (a phone call) almost 1 hour late as the poor doc was on his own but at least I could watch the afternoon movie while waiting so much preferable. The outcome was that all is as normal as it is ever going to be so one less thing to worry about.

Stupid OH let the dogs out last night and left one behind so poor Taz was outside all night, OH had a right earful at 6am I can tell you!

I am so sorry that so many of you have not been having a good time lately, I hope things look up for you all soon. Good luck with the new piccies Lynn.

Morning

Everyone's asleep except for me, so here I am!

No plans for the weekend - I feel we should do something or go somewhere but then you get all the bank holiday traffic and I hate that. We have jobs to do in the house anyway - and they are mounting up so we should get on with it really.

I'm glad your gp visit went okay Helena - I hope they get to the bottom of it and it's nothing serious. It's good that you have another booking, even if it makes work for you.

xxx

Morning Helena and everyone.

Well good luck with all the van stuff Helena and finishing the lounge and the turf. Sounds like an easier day for you than usual.
Fingers crossed after your MOT at the docs you will not need that heart specialist referral.

Morning Gerri. at OH how could you forget one ?
Glad to hear the virtual appointment went well and was a good outcome. What a brilliant way of doing things like you say you don't mind them being late if you can watch a film or potter around doing things while waiting in the comfort of your own home.
Glad you didn't have any accidents doing that Leylandii hedge.
Did you have the hard hat on.
Linda I hope you have a nice day whatever you decide to do.
Sally I read on last nights post about your dad. I hope the time is peaceful for him when it comes if that is his wish and no one medical decides otherwise. I remember from when this first happened he struggled with the whole concept of the home and the stroke.
(((Hugs))) to you all.
Pat put the doughnuts down.
June a lovely photo pf Che he is a very handsome boy.

It started off a bright sunny day here an hour ago now it is dull very breezy and looks like it might rain.
We were hoping to get some good photos of Dillon on the fields and up the woods today and some video of him moving to show his breeder.
Well I don't think we will be inundated with viewers for the bank holiday as it is only today they can ring to book as tomorrow they are closed and Monday as it is bank holiday.
We will await news to see if this Chinese lady gets back in touch today for a viewing but i'm not holding my breath.
If they ring today and want a viewing tomorrow or Monday because they are the only days they can manage one of us can do it while the other takes Dillon out. Even though they specify accompanied viewings. In some ways I think I am beginning to feel I would rather do the viewings myself.

Morning Helena, Gerry, LS and fellow members,

It was beautifully sunny here until about 10 minutes ago and it has suddenly got breezy, the sky has turned grey and the sun has gone. I assume we are about to get one of the threatened showers. I do hope that is clears up for the wedding though as I want to be able to sit out side an 'people watch' from our balcony

I'm pleased your doc appointment went well Helena and hopefully the bloods will prove that you really are blue-blooded once and for all. As you aren't having the tests until 14th I strongly suggest you have a quiet time for a week and half which hopefully you'll be able to now that the inside of your house is virtually finished. You need a break

LS - enjoy your weekend whatever you decide to do.

Gerry - I bet your OH got a hard time, poor dog ((hugs)) but fortunately it wasn't a cold night. Enjoy your weekend and I hope the sun soon returns.

We are going out for an early lunch wtih friends we haven't seen for about 3 years but I have said that I want to be back here before 3 so I can see if the bride actually has any taste at all ....... someone hasn't

Has any one heard how Millie is doing, I haven't seen a post from Jackbox for sometime?

Take care and enjoy your day.

Morning Lynn, I you snuck in when I had my back turned.

I hope you can get some photos/video of Dillon going through his paces. With any luck the sun will come out again - it looks like a day of April showers. Everything crossed that you get some calls for viewings this weekend.

Have a good day.

Morning H and all,

Another busy day here. I have already taken Lily on a long walk, got 2 lines of washing out and been and done my mums shopping. I will be leaving for hers about 9 this morning and will get her housework done and cut her lawn and do some weeding. I normally go to her on a Friday morning but I have been so hectic I have not been able to fit in getting over there.

This afternoon I want to get my garden done. Its nice out there now but they did say we could have some rain later, so we shall see. Must not forget i need to go to Pets at home this afternoon too otherwise Lily will be phoning the greyhound rescue on me.

I still can't quite believe the outcome at the opticians yesterday. I never knew your eyes could improve that much.

Your doctor sounds nice H, so I hope when you get the blood test done the results are good.
I like those loose cargo's too and will be in mine soon. Its that shaving legs time of year again .

Gerri I have never heard of virtual hospital appointments, what a good idea. Give poor Taz a hug from me. Hopefully your OH has learn't his lesson

Lynn I hope you do get some calls this weekend. It may be a good time for viewings as people will be off work together to go house hunting.
Its breezy here but still sunny so please keep the dullness over your way

Jenny enjoy your lunch and I hope things don't get too rowdy for you.

Have a good day all whatever your plans.
