Old = New

My GSD is going to be 8 in September, and for the past few months she has had problems with arthritis of her knees.
There were times where she didn’t want to go a walk, she would put her breaks on and refuse to walk. The fact that she didn’t want to go a walk broke my heart as she was normally a very active dog, she would walk as far as you would take her…

I have been giving/ doing various things to help her pain:
Supplements,
Bioflow collar,
Fish oils,
Reducing the amount of hard surface walk,
Taking her swimming at least once a week,
CSJ herbs,
Lots of off lead walks,
She also gets 4/3 good walks a week and I will let her rest and give her low amount of exercise for the other days.

All of the above seems to be working, as she is like a different dog today, she acts like a daft puppy. Wanting to play all the time, she sometimes even gives the westies a run or their money.

I think I went a little OTT on the things I bought for her to try and help her pain, but I am just so happy that it has helped….

I do not think you went OTT at all.

There are many more supplements you could try as well as

Acupuncture
Physiotherapy
Massage
Chiropractic
Osteopathy

Arthritis is just another name for wear and tear which we all are prey to.
