The JML pet mitt
Most UK members will have seen adverts for this device, so here's a "review". At £3.99, I thought it wouldn't break the bank, quite!
Remember, I'm testing it on Border Collies, who have quite long hair. Results might be different for other breeds.
For "proper" grooming, it's not great for a BC, because it doesn't reach down to the undercoat, BUT it does keep the topcoat smooth and glossy, and it removes the tufts of dead hair which appear from time to time...It doesn't serve well as a primary groomer (which the advert suggests it will, naughty naughty), but it does a good job as an "in between" tidier-upper. For a short-haired dog, it might do quite well, though.
It's easy to use (it's just a modified glove, after all) and the hair it collects cleans off easily from its spiky bits. My two scunners don't care for it much, but they don't like being groomed at any time!
One thing it does do well - it removes hair from furniture with comparative ease!
Overall : not expensive. Quite good, as long as you don't rely on it as the main grooming tool.
