I hate people..........I really do...........

Well, I've been in tears this morning over my own dog and our lack of success at training this morning and now I'm in tears over the little GSD stray we have with us. She is such a lovely girl, affectionate, no trouble and as my husband keeps telling me has a much better temperament than my troublesome boy Jake, but I am just going to have to let her go. It isn't doing Jake any good her being here. We've been taking it in turns letting them out in the garden and she has been loving it. She just sits by Bill most of the time and is just a joy. Jake, however, doesn't stop barking when he knows she is out there and then Ailsa joins in with her howling... Bill and I haven't stopped squabbling since she arrived and now we've both fallen in love with her. It seems no one is looking for her and despite putting her details and picture on various sites no one seems interested in re-homing her. I have now been given the number of a smallish rescue who have apparently had good results in rehoming. I have emailed them but it's just heartbreaking to lose her. The longer we have her the worse it gets. I know my husband will be in tears too, but it's just not manageable having the 3 of them, with Jake's issues. Why do people just abandon their animals like this, it's just vile........

Oh Gill - huge hugs from me. It must be so difficult for you. I really wish things were different and Jake wasn't such hard work, and then you could keep this little girl yourselves, as you have clearly fallen in love with her. It must be a heartbreaking decision to have to let her go It does sound though, as if you have no choice. Jake (and your marriage!) must come first.

Do you have any piccies of the girl you found? I would love to see her.

Hopefully the rescue will be able to take her and find her a great new home xxx

Big cuddles coming your way. I know exactly what you are feeling, and just hope that there is a happy outcome.
