Ed never forgets a trainer, or anyone who has ever given him a titbit. They get a more joyful greeting than he gives me - who provides his every luxury. You can take the boy out of the Beagle, but not the Beagle out of the boy.

Carole always loved the Beagles that came to training. Always happy chaps. Mind you I still love my Border Collies and German Shepherds having grown up with them. Besoeker thanks for starting this thread it is bringing out the best thoughts of our dogs. Happy days. Yes there are sad ones but always best to remember the very good ones. Makes us smile.

I'm not long back from what should be the last walk. We met Ray and his dog, Hope. So I call him Ray of Hope. I know him from walking around the local parks. Max just laid down while we had a chat. Behaved as good dogs should. But he doesn't take his eyes of me. I move - he moves. No command required.

I really don't know why it is as it is. That bond. I hope I never do anything to break it.

Besoeker, I am sure you will not. Dogs will and have always been mans best friend. Where will we all be without them?

My knackered companion.
In truth I was fiddling around with focal lengths and depth of field and he is a good, obedient poser.

Thank you Moyra.
Handsome chap. But, more importantly, he has such a beautiful temperament.

You know Besoeker when he passes you will be bereft. He is such a beautiful dog. Unfortunately, our bestest friends have such limited lives on this earth. Enjoy him for as long as you can.
