What you do for a job?

I am meant to be returning to work after 10 lovely months of maternity leave in July ( ) however I want to retrain, but have no idea what as. Ultimately I want to be a dog trainer, and I have started making in roads into this. However thats going to be a while, and I need to pay the mortgage!

So I looking for some inspiration. What do you do for a job?

I'm a BSL interpreter for Deaf people. 7 expensive years in training finally complete Worth it though, only around 500 fully qualifieds in the UK serving 70,000 Deaf people, rewarding, varied, lots of work and very well paid

p.s boo to maternity leave ending! Are you hoping to go back part or full-time?

I started working for myself last year. I get most of my work through a grouse consultant i used to work with before i had my son.

I do caecal egg counts, worm counts from grouse guts, grouse counting and mapping for grouse estates across the UK. I am hoping for some wader work next year.

It's great as most of it can be done at home.

I also am a mole catcher for a neighboring farm lol.

I am a part time primary school teacher, I work in a small school that has a deaf resource base attached. I love the school, the kids and the staff and consider myself very lucky.

I used to be PA to Lawyers but since having my son I now help my hubby out.

He is Farm Manager/Head Shepherd on a large hill farm. Basically I help rearing, walking and socialising sheepdog pups and starting them off with basic training, help on big gathers with my own trained sheepdog, at lambing time I go round the lambing fields a few times a day to make sure that nothing has couped and that nothing is having trouble lambing (I want to get more involved with lambing once my son is in full time school). At clipping time I roll and pack all the fleeces. Basically I just help out when need be, and do as I am told Hopefully once I get more involved (time permitting) I will be able to shepherd some of the flocks myself, and also may even be able to be employed as a lamber here and on other neighbouring farms/estates.
