Silly little things

..that you think of or discover? Add yours!

I'll start with... I've found that you use less washing up liquid when you use a bigger sponge - anyone else found that?

Sticking to the subject of sponges, I've found they last longer if they are hidden from the cats when not in use.

I discovered my bathroom sponge in bits across back bedroom floor the other day, and the kitchen sponge in the litter tray last night. (Much as I wish I didn't have to clean out the tray, this is not what I had in mind).

I don't discover things wiggins does! He just found a christmas tree light bulb, i have no idea how because we have never had one go out and i have never seen spares in the box, the decs are all away but still that was his discovery this evening!

My brother frequently has these discoveries though he has 0 common sense but is very clever - he manages a tesco yet at uni he left a steak behind the freezer because he assumed it would be cold.... My dad helped him lean that lesson when we went to remove maggots! That wasn't even his worst one!

I discovered a 5cm bolt with a nut half way up it in my bed the other day.

Does that count?

I've discovered that if I eat too much I don't lose weight

I've also discovered that whenever the phone goes, a little voice shouts 'you get it'. Does anyone else hear that little voice as well.

Poor Azz has tried to start a discussion topic here. Can someone take it seriously.

...... No ...... ok here we go .........
If a jar lid is too tight to undo, run it under a hot tap for 15 seconds and it'll open easily.

If a jar lid is too tight to undo, instead of holding it under the hot tap put a pair of rubber gloves on and hold jar in one hand while you easily open the lid with the other.

Alternatively you can do what I did. Get one of these:
